City Council Special Meeting Minutes
Friday, August 15, 2025 @ 5:30 pm
Council gathered at the Public Works building at 100 Bluffs Blvd to obtain a vehicle and then they drove toward the Primary/Elementary School parking lot (206 S D Street) in Sergeant Bluff to travel the parade route for the Pioneer Valley Days Parade.

2.APPROVE OF THE AGENDA:
Motion by Kirk Moriarty, seconded by Mark Reinders to Approve the Agenda.
Motion Carried. [Unanimous]
3. DISCUSSION/ACTION ITEMS:
3.aCouncil Approval of Replacement Signal Detection System for a Traffic Signal on First Street
Jason Kvidera reviewed the options available. A newer system can be installed, or install a new camera. Staff recommends the $26,800 "NoTraffic" system to be placed at 1st Street and Highway 75 and to move the existing controller from 1st Street down to E Street.
Motion by Kirk Moriarty, seconded by Ryan Panowicz to Approve Replacing the Signal Detection System on First Street with the "NoTraffic" System.
Motion Carried. [Unanimous]
4. TRAVEL THE PARADE ROUTE FOR PIONEER VALLEY DAYS
City Council traveled the Parade Route for Pioneer Valley Days.

Motion by Kirk Moriarty, seconded by Ryan Panowicz to Adjourn. Motion Carried. [Unanimous]
