BY CITY COUNCIL ON PROPOSAL TO TRANSFER PUBLIC PROPERTY TO DEVELOPER DUE TO ERROR IN DEDICATION
You are hereby notified that on the 27th day of August 2024, the City Council for the City of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa will hold a public hearing in Council Chambers located at 501 4th Street in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa during the Council’s regular meeting beginning at 5:30 p.m. to review a proposal to transfer a regional detention pond and storm sewer outlet structure which is legally described as Tract A of Baker Prairie Bluff, First, Sergeant Bluff, Woodbury County, Iowa.

The property was dedicated to the City by the developer, Baker Prairie Bluff, LLC, in error during the subdivision process. The developer has retained control and maintenance of the pond at all times. The developer and the City have agreed that the City will transfer the property back to the developer by City Deed at no cost to correct this error.

After the public hearing, the City Council shall consider the proposal and if approved, pass a resolution to authorize City representatives to take all actions necessary to complete the transfer of the parcel back to the developer. All interested persons are urged to attend the public hearing to comment, either in person, by agent or attorney, or to submit any comment in writing.
