NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED URBAN RENEWAL PLAN AMENDMENT
Notice Is Hereby Given: That at 5:30 p.m., at the Council Chambers, 501 4th Street, Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, on October 22, 2024, the City Council of the City of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, will hold a public hearing on the question of amending the urban renewal plan for the 1st Street Corridor Urban Renewal Area (the “Urban Renewal Area”) to authorize the undertaking of new Urban Renewal Projects in the Urban Renewal Area consisting of (1) providing tax increment financing support to Kwik Trip, Inc. in connection with the construction of a new gas station and the corresponding construction of public infrastructure; (2) using tax increment financing to pay the costs of the removing gas storage tanks from property on which Kwik Trip will construct the new gas station; (3) using tax increment financing to pay the costs of constructing improvements to the Municipal Electric Utility System; and (4) providing tax increment financing support to R. Perry Construction, Inc. in connection with the redevelopment of an existing building on the former MCI complex property for commercial uses. A copy of the amendment is on file for public inspection in the office of the City Clerk.
At said hearing any interested person may file written objections or comments and may be heard orally with respect to the subject matter of the hearing.
