NOTICE OF CONSIDERATION OF A VARIANCE BY THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT IN SERGEANT BLUFF, IOWA
You are hereby notified that the Board of Adjustment will hold a public hearing at 5:30 p.m., on June 13, 2024 in the Sergeant Bluff Council Chambers located at 501 4th Street to hear public comments on a variance request for 602 Jace Road (Parcel# 884732332010, SERENITY POINT FIRST LOT 55)
The applicant is Jim & Donna Carlin, the request is for a variance from Zoning Code 165A.31 (1) which states: “No accessory building or structure shall be placed in an easement. Examples of accessory buildings or structures which may not be placed in an easement include but are not limited to storage sheds, detached garages, carports, children's play equipment, pools (above or in ground).”
The applicant is requesting to maintain the existing retaining wall in the 10 feet wide drainage easement located along the east property of 602 Jace Road.
All interested persons are urged to comment by agent or attorney, or in writing. If needed questions or comments for the public hearing can be taken by phone at 712-943-4244 during the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday.
An application can be reviewed upon request at City Hall which is located at 501 4th Street.
