NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, PROPOSED FORM OF CONTRACT AND ESTIMATE OF COST FOR  220TH STREET AND OLD HIGHWAY 75 WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT  SERGEANT BLUFF, IOWA

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, PROPOSED FORM OF CONTRACT AND ESTIMATE OF COST FOR  220TH STREET AND OLD HIGHWAY 75 WATER MAIN IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT  SERGEANT BLUFF, IOWA

Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Sergeant Bluff, in Woodbury County, Iowa, will meet at the Fireside Room of the Community Center  at 903 Topaz Drive, in said City, on the 26th day of August, 2025, at 5:30 o'clock P.M., at which time a City Council meeting will begin which will include a public hearing on the proposed plans and specifications, form of contract and estimate of cost for the construction of the 220th Street and Old Highway 75 Water Main Improvements Project in and for said City.

The proposed construction is described in general as follows: Approximately 250 LF of 12” water main from west side of Jax Court and extend west to the east side of Old Highway 75.  New 16” water main is to extend north from 220th Street for an approximate distance of 1000 LF to connect to an existing 8” water main near the apparent location of Jamie Lane.  

At the said hearing, the City Council will consider the plans and specifications, proposed form of contract and the estimate of cost for the 220th Street and Old Highway 75 Water Main Improvements Project, the same now being on file in the office of the City Clerk, reference to which is made for a more detailed and complete description of the proposed work, and at the said time and place, the City Council will also receive and consider any objection to said plans, specifications and form of contract or cost of the project made by any interested party.

This notice is given by order of the City Council of the City of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa.
