NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, FORM OF CONTRACT AND ESTIMATE OF COST FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE S. LEWIS BLVD. ELECTRIC CROSSING FOR THE CITY OF SERGEANT BLUFF, IOWA
At 5:30 P.M. on the 22nd day of July 2025, the City Council of the City of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa (the “City”) at their meeting in Council Chambers at 501 4th Street, Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, will hold a public hearing at which Council proposes to adopt plans, specifications, form of contract and estimate of cost for the S. Lewis Blvd. Electric Crossing project.
Sealed bids for the project will be received, opened, and read after 1:00 PM, on Thursday, July 17th, 2025.
The description of the project is as follows:
S. LEWIS BLVD. ELECTRIC CROSSING
Project includes all labor, materials and equipment necessary to construct approximately 104 LF of electric casing pipe, excavation, clearing and grubbing, traffic control, seeding, fertilizing and mulching, railroad flaggers, surface restoration, erosion control, and miscellaneous associated work, including cleanup. Work to be performed will be within Union Pacific and City of Sergeant Bluff right of way along South Lewis Boulevard and Front Street in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa. Project requires a start date of no later than September 1st.
An alternate bid for a later start date of October 13, 2025, will be requested.
Work shall be completed by December 1, 2025.
At said hearing, the City will consider the proposed plans, specifications, form of contract and estimate of cost for the project, the same now being on file in the office of the City Clerk, reference to which is made for a more detailed and complete description of the proposed improvements, and at said time and place the City will also receive and consider any objections to said plans, specifications and form of contract or to the estimated cost of said improvements made by any interested party.
This notice is given by order of the City Council of the City of Sergeant Bluff, Iowa.
