NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE ADOPTION OF AMENDMENTS TO CHAPTER 165B.09, 165B.11, AND 165D.20 OF THE ZONING ORDINANCES IN SERGEANT BLUFF, IA
You are hereby notified that the Sergeant Bluff City Council will hold a Public Hearing at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, in the City Hall Council Chambers, 501 4th Street, Sergeant Bluff, IA, to hear public comments on proposed amendments to Chapter 165B.09 (Land Use Categories Matrix), Chapter 165B.11 (RS150: Single Family Residential District), and Chapter 165D.20 (Minimum Design Standards for Residential Structures).
The proposed changes include:
Amending the Land Use Categories of Chapter 165B.09:
•Modify temporary, conditional, and permitted land uses in business and industrial districts.
Modifying Height and Lot Requirements of Accessory Buildings for RS150 of Chapter 165B.11:
•Increase the maximum allowable height for accessory buildings/structures in RS 150 Residential District.
Modifying the Minimum Design Standards for Residential Structures in Chapter 165D.20:
•Update language to meet current sidewalk standards.
The proposed amendments will be available at City Hall during regular office hours for review by the public and available on our website at: www.cityofsergeantbluff.com
