Antidegradation Alternatives Analysis for CF Industries, LLC – Port Neal Complex

Notice is hereby given that CF Industries, LLC (CF) has completed a Draft Antidegradation Analysis for updating the Port Neal Complex’s total residue chlorine (TRC) permit limit based on site-specific chlorine demand data and updated wasteload allocation (WLA) calculations completed by the Iowa Department of Natural Resources (IDNR). CF discharges wastewater to the Missouri River, which is protected for Class A1 primary contact recreational and B(WW-1) warm water beneficial uses. 
Anyone wishing to comment on the proposed treatment alternative must do so in writing within 30 days of the date shown at the top of this notice. Comments may be submitted by email to Neil Stockfleth, Environmental Superintendent – Port Neal Complex, at nstockfleth@cfindustries.com.
  Copies of this notice, the Draft Antidegradation Analysis, and supporting information may be requested by contacting Neil Stockfleth at 712.233.6276 or at the above email address. CF will submit a summary of comments received and its responses to the IDNR with the final Antidegradation Analysis subject to IDNR review and approval.
