(SBA) - The Sergeant Bluff Community Schools proudly presented Richard Rabb, a veteran and dedicated SBL bus driver for over two decades, with an opportunity to go to Washington, D.C. on the Midwest Honor Flight! Last week, the school gave Richard a check for $3,300, far exceeding the $1,000 he needed. Altogether, the community of Sergeant Bluff raised an impressive $7,232, with the extra funds going to support the Honor Flight program.

Richard Rabb is a proud U.S. veteran who served on naval submarines and was a longtime member of the 185th. This Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to honor the brave men and women who served our country. Midwest Honor Flight is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing veterans with an all-expense-paid trip to our nation’s capital, serving veterans from South Dakota, NW Iowa, NE Nebraska, and SW Minnesota.

Richard has been a dedicated bus driver for SBL students for over two decades, safely transporting them on daily bus routes as well as to cross country, basketball, track, soccer, and other activities. The Sergeant Bluff-Luton school and the community thank Richard for his service to our country and his commitment to the students at SBL.
