SBL-CSD School Board recognizes student achievements

(SBA) - During the June 5, 2025 SBL-CSD School Board meeting, members of the board recognised the achievements of SBL student for the 2024-2025 school year.

During the June 5, 2025, SBL-CSD School Board meeting, board members proudly recognized the outstanding achievements of SBL students during the 2024–2025 school year.

Congratulations to SBL’s track conference champions: Maddie Kneifl in discus, Jayden Kneifl in high jump, Alex Wilson in shot put, Collin Bliven in the 400-meter hurdles, and the boys 4x400 relay team—Tate Loffswold, Collin Bliven, Daniel Delarosa, and Andrew Lincoln.

Several athletes also qualified for the state track meet. Maddie Kneifl qualified in discus, Alex Wilson in shot put, and Tate Loffswold in the 400-meter dash. The 4x400 relay team of Tate Loffswold, Collin Bliven, Daniel Delarosa, and Andrew Lincoln also qualified, along with the Sprint Medley Relay team of Ryan Husen, Gavin Warren, Collin Bliven, and Tate Loffswold.

In boys soccer, congratulations to Necco Rojas and Braulio Gonzalez for earning MRAC All-Conference Second Team honors.
The girls golf team was crowned Conference Champions, with Cora Eckoff earning the title of individual champion. Both the girls and boys tennis teams also claimed Conference Champion titles.

A special congratulations goes to Camryn Glass, who made history as SBL’s first girls state tennis qualifier. In boys tennis, Tyler Grote, Joe Wright, Nathan Myers, Dylan Janzen, and Braxton Van Meter all qualified for individual state competition. Tyler finished 5th in singles, while Joe and Nathan placed 3rd in doubles.

Both the girls and boys tennis teams qualified for the state team tennis tournament. The boys team finished an impressive 3rd place.

Finally, the board recognized everyone involved in organizing the end-of-year Band and Choir Concerts. These performances showcased the talents of students in grades 5–12 and required coordination across three buildings. Special thanks to the transportation team for assisting with moving instruments and to Mr. TerWee for generously making the Elementary Gym available for multiple days.
