Sergeant Bluff-Luton 1 - ADM 12 (5 Innings)
The Warriors softball season came to an end on July 15th in Adel. SBL traveled to ADM to take on the 4th ranked Tigers in the regional final.
Bailey Moreau hit her 8th homer of the season in the top of the first inning for the Warriors as they took a 1-0. That would be the only run of the night for SBL, as Lily Delperdang picked up the only other hit.
ADM scored two runs in the 2nd inning. The Tigers added three more in the 3rd, 2 in the 4th, and eventually 5 more runs in the bottom of the 5th to end the game early due to 8 run-rule. With the win ADM moved on to the state tournament in Fort Dodge.
Sergeant Bluff finished the season with a 33-7 record and captured its 4 straight MRAC championship. In the last seven years SBL has won 6 conference titles and played in 5 regional finals.
