(SB) - Sergeant Bluff-Luton ProStart program competed at the Iowa Prostart Invitational on February 27th. This year was SBL's 10th year competing at the state level. SBL brought two teams to the competition which was a management team and a culinary team. The management team consisted of Lily Guntren, Brooklyn Robinson, Jack Schoenfelder, Gerry Silva, and Amber Sweum. The students that were on the culinary team were Conner Rush, Cy Gaul, Talon Lake, Ava Hannemann, and Dylan Swearingen.
The culinary team placed 5th and the management team placed 3rd in the state at the Iowa ProStart Invitational. Each student on the management received a total of $8,000 worth of scholarship opportunities to local and national culinary colleges.
