Sioux City, Iowa (SBA) — The Sioux City Valley of Scottish Rite Masons has been selected to lay an official wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery in Washington, D.C., on August 15, 2025. This prestigious honor recognizes the Sioux City Valley’s role in representing not only their local chapter but also the broader Scottish Rite communities of Des Moines, Clinton, Davenport, Cedar Rapids, and more than 2,000 Scottish Rite Master Masons across Iowa.
The Siouxland delegation traveling to Arlington includes Rene C. Lapierre, Advisory Conference member of the Sioux City Valley; Charles D. Yates, Chairman of the Sioux City Valley and Past Grand Master of Iowa Masons; Randy M. Wurster, Secretary and Registrar of the Sioux City Valley; Steve Vastine, member of the Sioux City Valley; and James W. Morfitt, also a member of the Sioux City Valley.
