(SBA) - The Sioux City Public Museum will participate in Downtown Sioux City’s Fall Fest, on October 12 and 13, with activities for the whole family.

Kid’s Saturday: All About Animals will be held on October 12, from 10 to 11 a.m. This free, drop-in program offers crafts and a gallery scavenger hunt based on the art exhibit, Society of Animal Artists: Art and the Animal. Families with preschool and early elementary aged children are invited to enjoy this free event. The scavenger hunt will be available all day on October 12 and 13.

On Saturday afternoon, featured artists from the Society of Animal Artists will be in the gallery for tours and demonstrations. The artists are featured in the Society of Animal Artists: Art and the Animal exhibit, on display in the museum August 31-November 30.

The Sergeant Floyd River Museum & Welcome Center will also participate in Fall Fest on October 12 and 13 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a scavenger hunt inside the boat. When children complete the scavenger hunt, they can choose a small pumpkin or gourd as a prize while supplies last.
