Sioux City Public Museum Receives Cultural Leadership Partners Grant

(SBA) - The Sioux City Public Museum and Historical Association was awarded a $20,000 Cultural Leadership Partners (CLP) grant award for FY25 from the Iowa Arts Council, a division of the Iowa Economic Development Authority, funded by an appropriation from the Iowa Legislature and a grant National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency. These funds will be utilized in updating and expanding permanent exhibits.

“We are deeply grateful for the continued support from the Iowa Arts Council,” said Steve Hansen, Museum Director. “Over the years this grant has been instrumental in supporting our exhibits, educational programming, and community outreach.”

Cultural Leadership Partners provides arts and culture organizations that demonstrate an exemplary record of cultural and managerial excellence and community service with a designation and flexible financial support over a three-year period. Organizations selected for the program must demonstrate: excellence in programming, leadership and cultural impact on a continuing basis to the citizens of Iowa; sound fiscal and managerial practices; and deliberate community outreach and involvement.
