Halterman named latest Sergeant Bluff Historical Museum prize winner

(SBA) - The Sergeant Bluff Historical Museum has announced Bob Halterman of Sergeant Bluff as the winner of its second prize drawing of the year.

Visitors to the museum will have another opportunity to win when the next drawing is held in early December. Each time someone visits the museum, they may enter the drawing by placing their name and phone number in the ceramic strawberry located at the front desk.

The museum will also take part in this year’s Pioneer Valley Days activities. Its annual Show ’n Shine Car Show will be held Saturday, Aug. 15, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Owners of special or unique cars, tractors and motorcycles are invited to bring their vehicles for display. Prizes will be presented to participants, and refreshments will be available inside the museum.

The Sergeant Bluff Historical Museum will also participate in the Pioneer Valley Days parade at 6 p.m. Friday in downtown Sergeant Bluff. Activities for all ages will continue following the parade at the Sergeant Bluff Recreation Center on South Lewis Boulevard/Highway 75.

Established in 1986 to preserve the history of Sergeant Bluff, the Sergeant Bluff Historical Museum provides residents and visitors an opportunity to learn more about the people, places and events that have shaped the community.
