(SB) – See if you can follow me on this, keeping in mind I’m just trying to help all of you make it to the next day in our crises-laden lives.
Remember the clamor of “If we’re young enough to die, we’re young enough to vote.” That was during the Vietnam war (1964-1975). That was also during a time when conscription (THE MILITARY DRAFT) was in effect. So, yea, if you were in the military then, and you were 18-19-20, you should be granted the right to vote. But so did everyone else who made it a point to sit in the peanut gallery. (Remember this because I will come back to it.)
The military draft in the U.S. ended officially, Jan. 27, 1973, two years prior to the end of the Vietnam conflict.
Ending the draft, came on the sandals of pot-smoking, draft age protesters, who marched around the White House, publicly burned their draft cards, and scurried off to Canada when the feds came knocking at their home doors. (The draft dodgers, as they were called, were given full amnesty by President Jimmy Carter, the Georgia peanut farmer, Jan. 21, 1977. He, thankfully, lasted only one term and was beaten in a landslide election in 1980 by Ronald Reagan.)
Anyway, the President at the time, Richard (Tricky Dick) Nixon, was not only being besieged by war protesters, but was also being blasted by hordes of fringe groups – like today – wanting something, anything, everything, for free while taking LSD (Lysergic acid diethylamide) a semisynthetic psychedelic drug derived from ergot, known for its potent psychological effects. (You see, it was cool to act as if you had a cause while not knowing what you were screaming about. The same thing we see today, only back then in the 60s-70s the protest marches were spurred on by downing LSD tablets and huffing on marijuana.)
By the way, the drug’s author was Timothy Leary (Oct. 22, 1920 – May 31, 1996). He was an American psycho-ologist and author known for strongly advocating psychedelic drugs. Because he was a pot-head liberal, he was adored and lionized by his narc followers. During the 1960s-1970s he was arrested 36 times. Naturally, because he loved publicity – like our own Dr. Anthony Fauci -- that didn’t shut his mouth. (Fauci is still in the running.) Leary remained a walking, talking nut case, just like Fauci did with his fabricated masks, standing 6-feet apart and warning us we were all going to die from COVID-19.
Funny, isn’t it, how history continues to repeat itself?
Back to Nixon…
I suspect Nixon’s advisors -- all wanting to keep their cushy jobs, power, and nice paychecks -- came up with the brilliant idea that if boss Nixon ended the draft, there would be peace in the valley. (Yea, right, and the Golden Gate Bridge is for sale, cheap, $2, first come first served.) So, Dicky-do-and-the-don’ts ended the draft.
Surprise! The protests for everything else not only continued, but turned into a raging inferno. Americans were listening, like now, to communist disinformation coming from groups like the Red Brigade, Symbionese Liberation Army (SLA), Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), The Weather Underground, and over 1,000 other communist inspired and funded bomb-planting, gun-toting imbeciles who enjoyed torching, shooting, and blowing up everything about Democracy, America, and Christianity.
Nice people, huh.
(By the way, did you know that the thousands of commie cells around the world disappeared as soon as the Soviet Union came crashing down on Dec. 26, 1991? Yep, no pay, no communist cells.)
So, continuing this documented narrative, Nixon resigned (Aug. 9, 1974) -- what the lib-tards wanted in the first place. He was followed by Gerald Ford, dubbed ‘Mr. Clean’ by the media in an attempt to quell the riots, disorder, and destruction going on around the country. It didn’t work; they wanted Ford out, too. He was replaced by the human cartoon, Jimmy Carter, in 1976. Carter proceeded to break America, something liberals/Dems/leftists always do when elected. (See, if we taught real, truthful history in our schools and colleges, we’d know why things are the way they are today.)
Instead, the result – as I am laying out for you here – amounts to a tale of one stupid mistake after another. It’s what apologists today term as “unintended consequences.” (Ever notice no one making the goofy decisions ever apologize for the hell they put us through?)
So, yea, ALL 18-year-olds were given the right to vote. The only thing is – the ones serving in the U.S. Armed Forces where they could still die fighting for your Country, duly earned the right; those not serving, and had no intention of serving, got a free pass to the voting booth, proving that if they sat on their collective butts and did nothing, they duly earned the voting right. We’ve been paying for this since, because the loudest freaks among them are taught by college professors that brainwash the kiddies that socialism and communism are good, wonderful, and that everything should and must be free. It’s empty brains teaching empty brains.
We’ve got to have this changed before 2028.
Here’s the proposal: All those 18-year-old patriots who join our Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard get to vote. They earned that right. The other 18-year-olds who feel they can better serve our Country by serving themselves, must wait their turn (as it used to be), that is, until the day when they turn 21.
I’m sending this one to President Donald Trump, VP Vance, State Secretary Marco Rubio, and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth. The sooner we get the ball rolling on this one, the better.
Oh, I am sure the lib/Dem/leftist idiots will object, so, give them a choice: Either change the voting rule as it stands now, or reintroduce conscription (THE MILITARY DRAFT).
Fair is fair, right?
